Clive Woolls - Classical Guitarist
Studied classical guitar and lute at the Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama, performing recitals for both instruments in and outside of the college.
On leaving college Clive met many musicians from all walks of life. Most were not classically trained, but this helped him move into more popular music genres, which allowed him to develop arrangements for guitar in styles not taught at the college. Working on these popular guitar arrangements, broadened the range of where he could perform and also inspired him to compose music for the guitar in both classical and popular styles. Opportunities also arose at this time to work in radio and television both for the BBC and ITV, which is where all the work on arranging and composing for the guitar became useful.
Clive began to teach the classical guitar after people who had seen him perform requested tuition. So he took on a few students and quickly found that the relaxed nature of the tuition at the student's home proved very successful.
Guitar Tuition
Clive teaches the ABRSM syllabus for both, practical and theory exams, however this is not obligatory, and lessons can be tailored to the requirement of the student. All this is done in the comfort of your own home.

Music for Film and TV
Clive writes emotive music using the classical guitar and orchestral arrangements, particularly suitable for TV, film, games, trailers and commercials. His lyrical phrasing and warm tones produce a sound which sets him apart, with interesting interplay and orchestration. Clive works at Sycamore Studios in collaboration with Colin Evans and any format can be catered for whether commissions for new music or adaption of existing pieces.
